Rental terms
About these terms
These website terms summarise the usual rental process of TNI Car Rental L.L.C, Dubai trade licence 1213779 and TRN 104119610400003. They do not themselves rent a vehicle to you. Your confirmed quotation, booking summary and RTA unified rental contract contain the binding vehicle, driver, price, deposit, insurance, mileage and rental-period details. If they differ, the signed rental contract governs to the extent permitted by law.
Eligibility and documents
Every renter and authorised driver must be at least 21 and hold a current, valid licence accepted for that driver and vehicle category. TNI imposes no minimum licence-holding period. UAE residents must present a valid Emirates ID and UAE driving licence. Eligible visitors must present a passport and valid UAE entry evidence. A visitor with a valid licence from a GCC or current RTA exception country may use that recognised licence; otherwise the original valid national licence and a valid International Driving Permit are required. We verify original documents, the current RTA position and applicable insurer requirements before handover. A booking request is not confirmation that a person is eligible to drive.
Booking and vehicle category
A website enquiry is not a reservation. A booking is confirmed only when TNI sends written confirmation and any required payment or authorisation is completed. Unless a specific vehicle is expressly guaranteed in writing, the booking is for a vehicle category; a comparable replacement may be offered if the selected model is unavailable.
RTA unified rental contract
Before handover, the renter must review and digitally accept the RTA unified rental contract using the prescribed identity-verification process. The contract records the renter, authorised drivers, vehicle, rental transaction, disclosed charges and condition evidence. TNI and the renter should retain their contract and handover/return records.
Prices, VAT and disclosed charges
Prices displayed on this website are inclusive of 5% VAT, in line with Department of Economy and Tourism requirements. A quotation or invoice may itemise the net price and the VAT separately, but the customer-facing total is VAT-inclusive. The confirmed quotation and rental contract will state the rental price, the mileage allowance, excess-kilometre rate, delivery or collection charges, optional products and every other applicable fee. No charge should be imposed unless it was disclosed in the applicable contract or is required by law. Website prices marked “from” or “on request” are invitations to enquire, not confirmed offers.
Payment and security deposit
The security deposit is AED 1,000 for economy cars; AED 1,500 for compact crossovers and ordinary sedans; and AED 2,500 for large SUVs and seven- or nine-seater vehicles. Card pre-authorisation is preferred where supported. After return, TNI will reconcile only documented amounts due, provide an itemised statement for any deductions, and initiate release of the remaining hold or deposit within 30 calendar days. The issuing bank may take additional time to display a released card authorisation.
Insurance, waivers and excess
Basic comprehensive insurance is included, subject to the signed Rental Agreement and the Adamjee policy in force. The applicable insurance excess is the amount stated in the quotation, Rental Agreement and Adamjee policy schedule. A police report is mandatory after an accident or unexplained damage. Cover does not apply to undeclared drivers, off-road use, racing, towing, intoxication or unlawful use, subject always to the actual policy wording. Nothing on this website expands insurance coverage.
Vehicle condition and return
TNI and the renter will document the vehicle at handover and return, including photographs where the RTA process requires them. The renter must promptly identify any existing discrepancy, keep the vehicle and supplied items reasonably secure, and return them at the agreed place and time in the condition required by the contract, allowing for fair wear and tear.
Accident, damage, theft and breakdown
The renter must put safety first, contact the relevant emergency or police service where required, notify TNI immediately, obtain the required official report and not admit liability or arrange repairs without approval. Liability for damage, recovery, excess or loss is determined by the signed contract, insurance terms, official report and applicable law. Any replacement vehicle is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.
Salik, parking and traffic matters
The renter is responsible for tolls, parking charges and vehicle-use liabilities incurred during the rental to the extent stated in the contract and permitted by law. Each Salik crossing is charged at the official toll plus AED 1, inclusive of applicable VAT. Traffic fines are charged at the actual documented amount without an added administration fee. Impoundment, black-point or driver-attendance costs are charged only when documented and attributable to the renter. TNI will provide an itemised record.
Fuel, mileage and cleaning
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level recorded at handover. Missing fuel is charged at its actual cost plus a disclosed 10% refuelling service fee. Included mileage is 250 km daily, 1,500 km weekly and 2,500 km monthly. Excess mileage is AED 0.50 per kilometre for economy cars, compact crossovers and regular sedans, and AED 1 per kilometre for large SUVs and seven- or nine-seater vehicles. Exceptional cleaning or smoking charges must be disclosed in the applicable booking or rental documents. Ordinary cleaning and fair wear must not be presented as damage.
Extensions, return, cancellation and no-show
An extension requires TNI's written approval before the original Rental Agreement expires and an updated contract where required; keeping the vehicle does not by itself extend the rental. A two-hour grace period applies to the agreed return time. Beyond two hours, one additional rental day is charged. Cancellation more than 48 hours before the scheduled start is free. Cancellation 24 to 48 hours before the start is charged at 25% of one rental day. Cancellation less than 24 hours before the start is charged at one rental day. A no-show is charged at one rental day or the prepaid amount, whichever is lower. If TNI cannot supply the booked category, the customer may accept an equivalent vehicle or upgrade, or receive an immediate full refund.
Permitted use
Only drivers named in the contract may drive. Unless expressly authorised, the vehicle must not be sub-rented; used for racing, testing, towing, paid carriage or unlawful purposes; taken off paved roads or outside approved territory; overloaded; or driven while the driver is impaired or unlicensed. The renter must follow UAE traffic law and reasonable operating instructions.
Delivery and collection
Delivery availability and the exact charge are confirmed in writing before booking. TNI does not promise free delivery across Dubai unless the written confirmation identifies the qualifying location and rental conditions.
Partner-sourced vehicles
TNI remains the customer's coordinator when a vehicle is sourced from another licensed operator. Before payment, TNI will disclose the supplying company, which entity signs the Rental Agreement, which entity receives the deposit and which entity provides the insurance. An exact vehicle is not promised where partner sourcing is involved unless expressly guaranteed in writing. The signed agreement determines each party's responsibilities.
Complaints and governing law
Please first contact TNI at zeeshan.khan@tnicarrental.com so the matter can be investigated. These terms and each rental are governed by applicable UAE federal law and the laws in force in Dubai. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded. Disputes are subject to the competent UAE courts unless a mandatory process requires otherwise.
