These are the standard amounts. Your confirmed quotation and signed Rental Agreement state the deposit for the actual transaction before handover.

How the deposit is handled

Card pre-authorisation is preferred where supported. After the vehicle is returned, TNI reconciles documented amounts due and provides an itemised statement for any deductions. Release of the remaining hold or deposit is initiated within 30 calendar days; your bank may take additional time to display a released card authorisation.

How much is the car rental deposit in Dubai?

At TNI, the standard refundable security deposit is AED 1,000 for economy sedans and compact hatchbacks, AED 1,500 for compact crossovers and mid-size sedans, and AED 2,500 for SUVs and vans.

How is the deposit taken?

Card pre-authorisation is preferred where supported. The confirmed quotation and rental agreement state the method and amount before handover.

When is the deposit released?

After return, documented amounts are reconciled and an itemised statement is provided for deductions. TNI initiates release of the remaining hold or deposit within 30 calendar days; the issuing bank may take additional time to display a released authorisation.

Can money be deducted from the deposit?

Only documented amounts due under the confirmed quotation, signed rental agreement or applicable law should be deducted. These may include attributable tolls, fines, fuel, damage or other charges disclosed in the rental documents.
