How to compare monthly car-rental costs in Dubai

A rate is useful only when you can see what sits behind it. Compare the same duration, VAT basis, mileage, deposit and availability before choosing a vehicle.

Start with the named vehicle

TNI publishes daily, weekly and monthly rates for each priced vehicle. Open the individual vehicle page to check its mileage allowance, deposit and excess-kilometre rate. A vehicle marked “Check availability” needs date confirmation before it can be booked.

Compare like for like

VATDisplayed TNI rates include 5% VAT.
Mileage250 km daily, 1,500 km weekly or 2,500 km monthly as standard.
DepositAED 1,000 to AED 2,500 by vehicle category.

Plan for separate usage charges

Fuel, parking, Salik and traffic fines depend on use. Salik is billed at the official toll plus AED 1. Traffic fines are billed at their actual documented amount. These are itemised.

Use the monthly comparison table, then read the mileage guide and deposit guide before requesting a written quotation.

Questions about rental cost

What is included in a TNI car-rental price?

Displayed rates include 5% VAT. The selected vehicle's included mileage, refundable deposit and insurance wording are displayed on its page and confirmed in writing before booking.

What extra costs should I plan for?

Fuel, parking, Salik tolls and traffic fines are separate. TNI bills each Salik crossing at the official toll plus AED 1, and traffic fines at their actual documented amount.

How do I compare car-rental prices fairly?

Compare the same rental duration, VAT basis, mileage allowance, deposit tier, availability and qualifying conditions. A lower headline rate is not comparable if one of those terms differs.
