Privacy
This page matters more than most. Rental operators hold passport, visa, Emirates ID and licence copies — among the most sensitive categories of personal data there are.
Who controls your information
TNI Car Rental L.L.C is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. Privacy enquiries and rights requests may be sent to zeeshan.khan@tnicarrental.com or delivered to the address shown on our Contact page.
Information we collect
Depending on the enquiry or rental, this may include your name, contact and address details; date of birth; Emirates ID, passport, visa and driving-licence information and copies; authorised-driver details; booking, contract, invoice and payment-status information; vehicle allocation, mileage, fuel and condition photographs; accident, insurance, toll, parking and traffic records; communications; corporate-account information; and technical website data. Payment card data should be handled by the approved payment provider and not stored by TNI unless specifically necessary and secured.
Why we use it
We use relevant data to answer enquiries; assess eligibility; prepare, perform and administer rental contracts; verify identity and obtain digital acceptance; deliver and recover vehicles; process payments and deposits; administer insurance, accidents, damage, tolls and fines; meet RTA, police, tax, accounting and other legal requirements; protect customers, vehicles and the business; resolve complaints and legal claims; and, with the required choice, measure or market our services.
Lawful processing
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, processing may be based on consent or another lawful case recognised by the law, including what is necessary to perform a contract, comply with law or establish and defend legal claims. We request consent where the law requires it and allow withdrawal without affecting earlier lawful processing.
When information is required
Identity, licence, eligibility and contract information is required to rent a vehicle and meet regulatory and insurance requirements. If required information is not provided or cannot be verified, TNI may be unable to confirm or continue the rental.
Who receives it
Where necessary, information may be shared with RTA and TARS, police and traffic authorities, DET and other regulators, insurers and claims handlers, payment and banking providers, professional advisers, technology and hosting providers, delivery or recovery suppliers, corporate customers paying for a rental, and a licensed partner operator supplying a vehicle. Each recipient receives only what is relevant to its role, subject to applicable law and contractual safeguards.
International transfers and processors
Our hosting, enquiry-form, analytics and map providers may process information outside the UAE. We use service providers only for defined business purposes and apply contractual and other safeguards required by applicable law. The website currently uses Namecheap hosting, Formspree for enquiry delivery, and Google Analytics 4 and the embedded Google Map only after the visitor selects “Accept all”. Meta advertising tools are not currently active.
Retention
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, required by an applicable retention rule, or reasonably needed for an unresolved payment, fine, insurance matter, complaint or legal claim. Different records may therefore have different retention periods.
Security
TNI applies access controls, account security, protected transmission, backups, staff confidentiality and supplier controls proportionate to the information. No internet or storage system is risk-free. Customers should send identity documents only through a channel confirmed by TNI.
Your rights
Subject to the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and its exceptions, a person may request information and access, portability where applicable, correction, erasure or restriction, object to certain processing or automated decisions, and withdraw consent. We may need to verify identity and may retain data where another lawful requirement applies.
Marketing
We will not use your contact details for direct marketing unless the required permission or other lawful condition applies. You can opt out using the message instructions or by contacting us. Service messages about an enquiry, rental, safety matter, fine or payment are not marketing.
Cookies and analytics
Essential browser storage keeps search selections and privacy choices. Google Analytics 4 loads only after the visitor selects “Accept all”. Meta advertising tools are not currently active. See the Cookie Notice for the current categories and how to change a choice.
